2023 Failla Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast captures the cool-climate elegance that defines Failla’s approach to Pinot. Sourced from multiple Sonoma Coast vineyard sites, with roughly a quarter of the grapes coming from Failla’s own estate plantings that are farmed to reflect fog, ocean influence, and the region’s varied soils, the wine also draws fruit from Keefer Ranch in Russian River Valley, a well-regarded source that broadens the texture and complexity of the blend.

A portion of the wine is fermented with whole clusters, adding a savory edge to the bright fruit profile. It then rests in a mix of new and neutral French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, preserving its natural texture and nuance while signaling Failla’s commitment to expressive, terroir-driven Pinot Noir.

The nose is floral and perfumed, with red cherry and raspberry lifted by hints of wild herb and baking spice. On the palate, juicy pomegranate and tart red fruit lead into a finish with a touch of earthiness, all wrapped in a light, elegant structure that remains poised and accessible.

This versatile Pinot Noir pairs nicely with roast chicken, mushroom dishes, or grilled salmon.

93 Points
"This suave Pinot has a mulled edge to its raspberry, damson plum and blood orange notes, sparkling with savory and rose hip details. Ends with light-handed echoes of sandalwood and sous-bois. Drink now through 2030. 9,480 cases made."
