Today it is Laurent Lignier who guides the estate, and the house style remains firmly classical: careful, patient élevage — typically 18 months with just 20% new oak — and bottling without fining or filtration, allowing each site to speak clearly in the glass.  Chambolle-Musigny is the most perfumed, feminine village of the Côte de Nuits, and Lignier's holdings there span several distinct parcels, each expressing the village's signature aromatic grace.
