Joseph Carr launched Josh Cellars in 2007 as a tribute to his father, Josh, who taught him the value of hard work and craft. Carr began by selling this Cabernet Sauvignon out of the back of his truck with his wife, Dee, before winemaker Wayne Donaldson joined in 2009 to help shape its house style. The brand has since grown into one of the best-selling premium wine labels in the country, now produced under Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits.

The grapes for this bottling are sourced from several of California's respected growing regions, including areas of Mendocino and the North Coast, then blended to achieve a consistent, approachable style from vintage to vintage. Fermentation and aging follow traditional methods, with time spent in oak barrels to soften the wine and build layers of spice and toast. The result favors immediate drinkability over long-term cellaring, in keeping with the brand's everyday appeal.

The glass shows blackberry and black cherry alongside toasted hazelnut, cinnamon, and a warm touch of vanilla and oak. The palate is round and smooth, full bodied with soft tannins and a long, easy finish. Serve it with grilled steak, a juicy burger, or a sharp aged cheddar.
