2023 Samuel Billaud - Chablis Grand Terroir

Samuel Billaud is one of the true superstars of Chablis, producing sublime wines that rightly demand their place in any great cellar. Les Grands Terroirs is sourced from three plots — Les Pargues, Les Cartes, and Chapelot-Bas, the latter situated above the Grand Cru Les Clos, putting this wine in territory that puts many Premier Crus to shame. The nose is refreshingly minerally with hints of potpourri behind citrus fruit. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry, tightening through the middle to a steely, bitter lemon finish.
