Sartarelli's story began in 1972, when Ferruccio Sartarelli started the winery as something of a side project. His son-in-law Patrizio joined the business in earnest by 1976, and after Ferruccio's passing in 1990, Patrizio and his wife Donatella committed fully to winemaking. Today their children, Tommaso and Caterina, represent the third generation, continuing the family's focus on Verdicchio as one of the few estates in Italy dedicated exclusively to this native grape, a commitment recognized when Sartarelli was named Best White Wine in the World at the International Wine Challenge.

Tralivio comes from the estate's older vineyards on the hills of Jesi, where bunches are thinned to keep yields low and hand-harvested to preserve quality. The grapes are gently pressed, and fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures, with the wine spending extended time on its lees to build texture and complexity before release.

The result is a bright straw-yellow wine with an inviting bouquet of spring herbs, acacia, lime, apricot, and fresh almond. On the palate, it's long and layered, balancing acidity, alcohol, and minerality, closing on the variety's signature note of bitter almond. It's a natural companion to seafood, from sushi to grilled salmon.
