2023 Steininger - Gruner Veltiner Loisium DAC Kamptal Reserve Stephen Holl (750ml)

A wine with a story built right into the label. The Ried Loisium vineyard sits directly behind the Steininger estate, and the label itself features the original architectural blueprints of the Loisium Wine World — designed by renowned New York architect Steven Holl, who conceived the striking Loisium complex right in the middle of the Steininger vineyards.  Karl Steininger named this Grüner Veltliner in Holl's honor — a powerful, fully ripe yet lively wine with exotic notes of lychee and herbs.  On the nose, generous tropical and orchard fruit — Asian pear, melon, and banana — are framed by the signature peppery Grüner spice and a touch of fresh herbs. On the palate, gorgeous acidity drives to a beautiful, lingering finish.  A DAC Reserve-level wine from Austria's most celebrated white wine village, Langenlois, grown on loess and gravel soils in the heart of the Kamptal.
