2023 The Paring - Chardonnay Santa Barbara County (750ml)

Bright, energetic, and effortlessly delicious — this Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is one of California's most consistently overachieving values in the variety. James Suckling awarded 92 Points, praising yellow apple, hard pineapple, and crisp acidity providing an energetic and textural context for stone fruit and sumac, with a kiss of sweet spice and a filigree of minerality threaded throughout. Wine Advocate called it delicious — bright and lifted, a wine of notable energy and cut with excellent delineation of flavors, ripe tropical fruit, spice, and chalk melding together in a characterful and hard-to-resist style.  

Aged in a thoughtful blend of one-third neutral French oak, one-third new French oak, and one-third stainless steel — with one-third going through malolactic fermentation — a production approach that delivers both the richness of barrel aging and the freshness of cool stainless steel in perfect balance. Pale gold with vibrant aromas of citrus, stone fruit, and subtle chalk, leading to a medium-bodied palate of seamless, velvety texture, bright acidity, and a clean, mineral finish.
