Bruno Colin has cultivated Chassagne-Montrachet's finest terroirs since establishing his own domaine in 2003, when the historic family estate founded by his father Michel Colin-Delèger was divided between Bruno and his brother. Among his eight Premier Cru Chassagne-Montrachet bottlings, Les Chenevottes is prized for a particular kind of natural harmony, a sense of contained volume that gives the best Chassagne whites their distinctive class. Vinified in the old family cellar in the heart of the village, this cuvée follows the same meticulous, low-intervention approach Bruno applies across his range, aged in barrel to develop texture without masking the underlying terroir.

In a 2024 vintage defined by tension rather than raw power, Les Chenevottes shows real persistence and a voluptuous, graceful texture on the palate. The wine builds impressively through the mid-palate and finish, carrying cool stone and saline mineral notes alongside its inherent structure. While approachable on release, this cru rewards a few years of patience, allowing its full depth and richness to unfold.

Decant briefly if drinking young, and serve at cellar temperature in a proper white Burgundy glass. It pairs beautifully with roast poultry, shellfish, or a well-aged Comté.

90 Points
"Pungent aromas of moderate wood and reduction mask the underlying fruit so be sure to give this some air if you're going to try a bottle young. More interesting are the delicious, concentrated and vibrant medium weight flavors that possess a touch of bitter lemon zest while delivering solid length on the powerful, clean, dry and balanced finale. This could also use better depth but a few years of keeping should be helpful."
