Bruno Colin bottled his first vintage under his own name in 2004, after the historic family domaine founded by his father Michel Colin-Delèger was divided among his children. From the old family winery in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, Bruno now farms just under nine hectares of vines across the Côte de Beaune's finest communes, including eight separate Premier Cru sites within Chassagne itself. Morgeot is among the most storied of these, a large limestone-rich vineyard planted here in 1963, prized for the structure and depth it consistently lends to the wine.

The 2024 vintage is characteristically reserved in its youth, built more around finesse than immediate generosity. Given a few years in the bottle, it develops the mineral backbone and round, powerful palate that define serious Morgeot. The wine shows real fullness and richness while maintaining freshness throughout, closing on a long, lingering finish that reflects the limestone soils beneath the vines.

This is a white Burgundy built for the cellar as much as the table, and it pairs naturally with shellfish, roast poultry, fresh herbs, or a wedge of Brie or Camembert.

91 Points
"Once again, there is enough post-bottling reduction and soft wood to push the fruit to the background. The palate impression of the slightly bigger-bodied flavors is also rich to the point of opulence yet here there is more obvious power and particularly so on the zest-inflected and moderately dry finale that offers slightly better depth and persistence. This too could be approached young with enjoyment or held for 5 to 8 years first."
