Enfield Wine Co. is the project of John Lockwood and his wife Amy Seese, launched in 2010 and pursued full time since 2013. Rather than owning a vineyard or winery, Lockwood partners with small, trusted growers across California's heritage sites, and Enfield is considered one of the standout labels of the New California movement.

This Chenin Blanc comes from the organically farmed Jurassic Park Vineyard, an ungrafted site planted in 1978 at 335 meters elevation on sandy, well-drained, limestone-laden soils. The vineyard shows real vintage variation, leaning lithe and appley in some years and more exotic, saline, or chalky in others, though its low-vigor soils and consistently small berries and clusters lend the wine depth, dimension, and structure year after year. The 2024 vintage fermented in stainless steel without inoculation and was aged until the following spring in a mix of stainless and neutral French oak.

The resulting wine is intense and energetic, with a real sense of drama. You feel it all the way through, from aromatics that engulf the glass to an uncommonly long, lingering finish. Expect a wine bursting with lemon oil, bruised peach, and elderflower, underscored by distinct minerality and a long, juicy finish.

Richer than Sauvignon Blanc but impossibly light on its feet, this bottling captures the unmistakable character of one of California's most celebrated Chenin Blanc sites. Pair with roast chicken, seafood, or aged goat cheese.
