Livio Felluga has spent generations reviving the vineyards of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, starting with the founder's return to Cormons after World War II to rescue overgrown hillside plots around Rosazzo. That dedication to sustainable, quality-focused farming has carried through the family, and the estate remains one of the region's most respected producers of native varieties like Friulano.

The Friulano grapes for this bottling grow in Ponca soil, a marl and sandstone formation of Eocene origin that lends the region's whites their signature minerality. Clusters are picked by hand in late September, gently destemmed, and left to macerate briefly before a short cold soak. Fermentation proceeds in temperature-controlled stainless steel, and the wine then rests on its lees for about six months, building texture without any oak influence.

The result is a canary yellow wine with green highlights, showing an elegant, layered bouquet of tropical fruit, rose and mallow flowers, and yellow peach, accented by touches of sandalwood, sage, and almond paste. The palate is soft yet sapid, closing with the characteristic bitter almond note Friulano is known for. It's a natural match for prosciutto, San Daniele ham, risotto, or grilled white fish.

93 Points
"Aromas of restrained stone fruit, peach peel, ferns, lemon leaves, flowers, iodine, stones and minerals. Very silky and smooth on the medium-bodied palate, almost leesy, yet balanced by crisp acidity, with tension in the long and savory finish. Drink now."
—Aldo Fiordelli-James Suckling
