Sourced from organically farmed vineyards along the rugged, fog-cooled ridges of California's Sonoma Coast, this Chardonnay comes from Flowers Vineyard & Winery, an estate founded in 1989 by Walt and Joan Flowers on some of the region's most extreme coastal terrain. The maritime climate, marked by persistent fog and ocean breezes, slows ripening and preserves natural acidity, giving the wine its signature tension and clarity.

In the glass, expect a bright, pale gold hue leading into aromas of Meyer lemon, mandarin, white flowers, and fresh mint, layered with hints of white pepper and citrus oil. The palate is energetic and finely textured, with mouthwatering acidity carrying flavors of tangerine and preserved lemon toward a long, saline finish shaped by the estate's coastal minerality. Fermentation in French oak, with only a restrained portion new, adds subtle structure without masking the fruit's purity.

At 13.5% ABV, this is a versatile, food-friendly white suited to grilled seafood, roast chicken, and creamy pasta dishes. A compelling choice for fans of elegant, cool-climate California Chardonnay.

93 Points
"Lemon sorbet and orange sherbet, plus details of lemongrass, lemon verbena, and both fresh and dried ginger notes, show touches of saline and white tea on the long and detailed finish, with plenty of intensity and sleek, mouthwatering acidity that give this precision. Drink now through 2036. 23,500 cases made."
