Domaine Jean-Charles Fagot is a small family estate based in Corpeau, a village just outside Chassagne-Montrachet in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. The Fagot family has worked the area since 1860, and Jean-Charles represents the fifth generation to make wine there, following an unconventional path that took him to Paris and Los Angeles as a musician before he returned home in the mid-1990s to take over the family domaine. Alongside winemaking, he also runs a well-regarded local restaurant, and he farms his vineyards using lutte raisonnée, limiting chemical intervention to only when truly necessary.

This Rully Blanc is made from 100% Chardonnay grown in the Côte Chalonnaise appellation of Rully, a village whose whites are often compared in style to those of Meursault or Puligny-Montrachet. The wine is vinified traditionally with native yeasts and aged in French oak, spending roughly twelve months in the Fagot cellars before release. Production is small, reflecting the modest scale of the family's holdings.

The finished wine offers aromas of lemon peel, white flowers, and green apple, with a rounded, glossy palate marked by hazelnut, toffee, and subtle oak spice built up from time on the lees. The finish is clean, mineral, and lifted by bright citrus and gentle salinity. It pairs beautifully with roast chicken or guinea fowl in a creamy sauce, escargot, or charcuterie.
