L'Ecole No. 41 is a second-generation, family-owned winery founded in 1983, the third oldest in Washington's Walla Walla Valley. It occupies the historic Frenchtown School building pictured on its label, and winemaker Marcus Rafanelli crafts the range. The winery grows and makes all of its own wines, with a focus on terroir-driven expression.

Luminesce is a long-standing Bordeaux-inspired white from the estate's Seven Hills Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley. The 2024 is a dry blend of 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. Sémillon anchors the wine and provides richness and texture, while Sauvignon Blanc broadens the flavor and adds a crisp, floral, mineral lift.

Mango and honeydew melon rise from the glass, joined by wet stone and white grapefruit blossom. The palate shows lush melon, pear, and honeysuckle, kept lively by fresh floral and mineral notes. It is a distinctive Washington white that balances ripeness with clarity, with a refined, mouth-filling character.
