Domaine Méo-Camuzet is one of Burgundy's most celebrated estates, its fourteen hectares centered in Vosne-Romanée and extending into some of the Côte d'Or's most prestigious appellations. Founded by politician and vigneron Étienne Camuzet, the domaine passed through his family before Jean-Nicolas Méo took over in 1985, bringing the estate's rented vineyards back under direct farming with guidance from the renowned Henri Jayer. Today the property is also known for its négociant bottlings, sold under the Méo-Camuzet Frère et Soeurs label and sometimes marketed as Maison Méo-Camuzet.

This Bourgogne Rouge draws on Pinot Noir from estate parcels in Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Échezeaux, supplemented by grapes and wine purchased from growers in villages across the Côte de Nuits, including Marsannay, Fixin, and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The fruit is vinified gently, without heavy extraction, following the same approach used across the domaine's more prestigious cuvées, then aged in barrels that have already seen one or more vintages.

The wine shows red berry fruit with a touch of earthiness, fine tannins, and a note of underlying minerality that belies its village-level status. It carries good freshness and structure, and while approachable young, a little bottle age helps it round out further. Try it with roast chicken, grilled salmon, or mushroom-based dishes.
