Méo-Camuzet Frère & Soeurs is the négociant arm of the Méo-Camuzet family, founded around the turn of the millennium by Jean-Nicolas Méo together with his sisters Isabelle and Angeline. The label was created to meet growing demand beyond what the family's own vineyards in Vosne-Romanée could supply, and it operates with the same rigor as the domaine itself: the Méo team monitors purchased parcels closely, often for years, working alongside growers much as they would their own vines.

Les Mitans sits mid-slope in Volnay, its name drawn from the Old French word for "middle," reflecting its position between the village and the road below. The vineyard's clay, marl, and limestone soils, combined with a southeast-facing exposure at around 250 meters, are known for producing wines with more finesse than power, a hallmark of Volnay as an appellation. It sits among a handful of premier crus that have helped define Volnay's reputation for delicacy rather than muscle.

Given the site's typical character, wine lovers can expect a medium-bodied Pinot Noir built around violet and red rose aromatics, small dark berries, and fine-grained tannins, with the Méo house style aiming for a balance of structure and purity that rewards both early drinking and cellar time. It pairs beautifully with roast duck, mushroom risotto, or a soft, ripe Brie.
