Domaine Marc Morey was established in 1919 by Fernand Morey, an early advocate of estate bottling in Chassagne-Montrachet, and passed to his son Marc in 1944, who expanded the property and built its reputation under the Marc Morey et Fils name. Today the domaine is run by Marc's granddaughter, Sabine Mollard, who has overseen the estate since 2003. Its roughly nine and a half hectares stretch across thirteen appellations from Saint-Aubin to Bâtard-Montrachet, with the cellars still located beneath the family's century-old home in the village.

This village-level bottling comes from parcels surrounding Chassagne-Montrachet itself, made entirely from Chardonnay. As with the rest of the range, vinification is adjusted each year to suit the character of the vintage, with the wine fermented and aged partly in oak barrels, some of them new, allowing it to rest on its lees through the winter. The 2024 growing season was a demanding one in Burgundy, following a wet, cool winter and spring that tested many estates across the region.

The wine shows bright citrus and orchard fruit on the nose, with a mineral edge and a light touch of spice from oak aging. The palate is fresh and precise, with lively acidity carrying through a clean, persistent finish. Pair with pan-seared scallops or aged Comté.
