Domaine Marc Morey is a family estate in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, founded just after the First World War by Fernand Morey and later run by his son, the eponymous Marc. Today Sabine Mollard, Marc's granddaughter, oversees the domaine, having taken over from her father in 2003. Among the estate's five Chassagne-Montrachet premier crus, its parcel in Morgeot draws fruit from the lieu-dit Ez Crottes, a clay-rich site whose wines tend to show a firmer, more structured character than some of the domaine's other premier cru holdings.

The 2024 vintage followed a difficult, wet growing season across Burgundy, but the clay soils of Ez Crottes helped retain moisture and support even ripening through the summer. As with the rest of the range, the Chardonnay is vinified with careful attention to each parcel's character and aged in oak, part of it new, with regular lees stirring to build texture ahead of bottling the following year.

The nose shows crushed stone and grilled hazelnut, framed by well-integrated oak. The palate is fresh and sapid, with a tangy edge and notes of white pepper leading into a flinty, mineral finish. Pair with roasted turbot or aged Gruyère.
