Domaine Marc Morey traces back to 1919, when Fernand Morey set up his winemaking operation in what had once been an old coaching inn in Chassagne-Montrachet. His son Marc joined the domaine in 1944, and in 1977 Marc's daughter Marie-Josèphe and her husband Bernard Mollard came on board as well. Today the estate is run alongside their daughter Sabine, carrying the family's emphasis on careful, low-intervention farming into a fifth generation. Among its scattered holdings across Chassagne, Puligny, and Bâtard-Montrachet sits a small parcel in Les Pucelles, one of Puligny's most respected premier cru sites.

Made entirely from Chardonnay, the wine follows the domaine's typically patient approach, resting on its lees for around ten months before spending additional time in vat ahead of bottling, with a modest portion of new oak used to add gentle structure without overwhelming the fruit. The vineyard's soils lend the wine a more linear, mineral-driven profile than some of the estate's Chassagne bottlings.

The wine typically shows slate-like, stony mineral notes alongside bright lemon and ripe peach. The palate is elegant and smooth, with a creamy edge balanced by fresh acidity, finishing clean and direct. Pair with grilled langoustines or aged Beaufort cheese.
