One of the most compelling new voices in grower Champagne, Vincent Cuillier launched his own label in 2015 with a single-minded focus on two exceptional family parcels near Reims — parcels he works by hand using permaculture, cover crops, agroforestry, and zero tillage. The Massif de Saint-Thierry is strikingly unusual terroir for Champagne: a meter of sand over a bedrock of compacted rock strewn with fossils, producing wines of a lightness and finesse rarely found elsewhere in the region. Chemin des Rois is the flagship — a zero-compromise Brut Nature with no dosage, no sulfur, no additives of any kind. In the glass it delivers lemon confit, white flowers, apricot, ginger, and spice, wrapped in soft contours with piercing acidity and a long mineral-driven finish. A wine made in the mold of Chartogne-Taillet — an artistic grower working adjacent terroir — but entirely its own.
