Tenuta dell'Ornellaia sits in Bolgheri, less than four kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, in a corner of Tuscany that the oenologist André Tchelistcheff once recognized as a golden land for Italian winemaking. Le Volte dell'Ornellaia is the estate's third wine, made to be instantly enjoyable, versatile, and convivial.

This Toscana IGT Rosso is a Merlot-led blend with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each variety is vinified separately in small stainless steel tanks to preserve its character, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 10 months in barrels previously used for Ornellaia and in concrete tanks, building complexity while keeping the wine fresh. The 2024 vintage began early after a mild, rainy first half of the year and finished balanced and lively.

Bright violet in the glass, the 2024 offers cherries and wild strawberries, with raspberry, violets, and subtle spice adding depth, along with elegant mentholated notes. The palate is bold in structure yet delicate, with velvety tannins and juicy fruit. Harmonious, balanced, and complex, it is a joy to drink young.
