Château Beau-Séjour Bécot continues to be one of the most compelling success stories in Saint-Émilion. Over the last decade, Juliette Bécot and Julien Barthe have reshaped the estate with a clear vision, investing heavily in both vineyard and cellar while remaining focused on expressing the character of their exceptional limestone terroir.

Since Thomas Duclot joined in 2017, the wines have gained even greater definition and elegance. The 2025 is a superb example. Drawn from a crop of just 32hl/ha, the wine benefited from an extended pre-fermentation maceration and lengthy time on skins, building impressive depth without sacrificing freshness or detail.

The aromatics are captivating from the outset, offering a complex mix of ripe berry fruit, floral nuances, fresh herbs and subtle spice. Beneath the fruit lies a strong chalky signature, reflecting the estate’s privileged position on the Saint-Émilion plateau. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and finely etched, combining concentration with remarkable lift. Notes of red berries and darker fruits are carried by a vein of freshness that brings focus and energy throughout.

Seamless, precise and wonderfully expressive, the 2025 possesses the balance, purity and sense of place that have become hallmarks of Beau-Séjour Bécot. A wine of real pedigree and one of the stars of the vintage."

98-100 Points
"The 2025 Beau-Séjour Bécot has all the requisites to take its place alongside the 2022 and the other extraordinary wines of 2025. Aromatic and layered, with striking presence, the 2025 is majestic. Deep, dark red fruit, pomegranate, mint, chalk, white pepper, rose petal and lavender soar from the glass. Bright saline notes drive through the mid-palate and into a finish marked by intense fruit and vibrant minerality. The purity here is just off the charts. Yields were 32 hectoliters per hectare. The 2025 saw a cold soak of 15 days followed by another 27 days or so on the skins, on the longer side for Bordeaux. Blending is done before the wines see oak. There are good wines, exceptional wines, and then emotional wines. Beau-Séjour Bécot falls into the third category. Unforgettable. Tasted two times. "
