Linked by history since 1540, both estates share an exceptional terroir known as Haut-Brion on ancient maps. La Mission Haut-Brion’s vineyard spans 29 hectares, with about 25 hectares planted with red grape varieties and just over 4 hectares with white.
he Dillon family in 1983, La Mission Haut-Brion underwent a significant revival, incorporating advanced techniques to showcase its invaluable terroir while preserving its unique charm and spiritual essence. The 2025 vintage :
A year that began and ended in light, where faith in our blessed terroir paid off. At the end of a burning hot summer, the harvest quantity is low, but its infinite potential lets us foresee an absolutely remarkable vintage!
Tasting notes
A dazzling, luminous red hue embellished by deep red glints. From the first nose, the wine is expressive, complex, delightful and so typical of this vineyard. This is further revealed on swirling the wine, with hints of black fruit, blackcurrant and notes of mocha appearing. On tasting, the first impression is powerful, with clear structure. Roundness follows immediately and gives an almost creamy feel on the palate, where fruit is accompanied elegantly by fine-grained tannins. There is a delicious contrast between the wine’s compactness and its freshness, that carries the wine through to a finish that unfolds majestically like the feathers of a peacock’s tail. With a captivating palate and an ethereal persistence, this 2025 vintage offers us with the expression of La Mission at its peak.
