2025 Palacio de Fefiñanes · Albariño de Fefiñanes, Rías Baixas

Region Cambados, Salnés Valley, Rías Baixas DO, Galicia
Producer Bodegas del Palacio de Fefiñanes (est. 1904)
Grape 100% Albariño
Soil Granitic sandy loam, coastal
Aging Low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel

One of the most historically significant estates in all of Galicia — Fefiñanes was the first producer to bottle, label, and sell Albariño under a registered brand, doing so from inside a 17th-century Renaissance palace in the heart of Cambados in 1928, and the iconic Rhine-style bottle and label have remained unchanged ever since. The entry-level Albariño de Fefiñanes is the estate's flagship by volume, drawing from Cambados estate vines and select local growers in the Salnés Valley, fermented cold to preserve aromatic intensity. The 2025 delivers the house's signature style: bright straw color with a greenish rim, lifted citrus blossom and fresh white peach on the nose, and a palate that's clean, saline, and refreshing with zesty acidity and a persistent, mineral-laced finish. A benchmark introduction to the variety from the appellation's founding name — equally at home as an aperitif or alongside oysters, grilled fish, or pulpo a la gallega.
