Pascal and Nicolas Reverdy built their domaine from almost nothing in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray, tucked into a steep, chalk-walled valley alongside the better-known villages of Chavignol and Verdigny. By the time the American importer who discovered them first visited in 1995, the brothers were already considered among the finest producers of Sancerre Rouge in France. Tragedy struck in November 2007 when Nicolas was killed in an accident in the vineyards; his wife, Sophie, stepped in to join Pascal and his wife, Nathalie, working the vines full time, and the domaine has continued under the founding brothers' names ever since. Pascal's sons, Victorien and Benjamin, who apprenticed at Domaine Rousseau and Domaine de la Romanée-Conti respectively, have since brought their own experience back to the family cellar.

This rosé is made from Pinot Noir grown on Maimbray's terres blanches, a soil of fossilized Kimmeridgian marl and clay that gives the estate's wines their signature chalky minerality. The grapes are hand harvested at low yields and gently pressed directly to juice, then fermented and rested in stainless steel to preserve freshness before bottling.

The wine shows fresh strawberry, raspberry, citrus blossom, and blood orange, layered with white stone fruit. The palate is crisp, with red cherry, red currant, and fresh herb notes finishing on a chalky, mineral note. It pairs beautifully with salads, seafood, or roast poultry.
