Patty Green and Jim Anderson bought their 52-acre Ribbon Ridge estate in 2000 and built Patricia Green Cellars into one of Oregon's great Pinot Noir specialists, bottling an unusually long lineup of single-vineyard wines every year. Jim carries that legacy today. The Reserve is the house's calling card: a blend of barrels from top sites across the Willamette Valley, including Chehalem Mountain, Freedom Hill and the estate's own Ribbon Ridge vines. The name dates to 2000, when they wanted the label to say this was more than a generic Willamette bottling.

The 2025 is deeper and broader than recent vintages, with black raspberry, dark cherry, licorice and resinous herbs over a savory, earthy core. Full and firmly structured, it's built for the cellar, or give it a good decant now. Great with duck breast, roast pork with mushrooms, grilled salmon or lamb.

92-94 Points
"Tasted as an early preview just two weeks after bottling, the 2025 Pinot Noir Reserve pours a bright ruby red color and reveals notes of licorice, pure black raspberry, dark cherries, and resinous herbs. Full-bodied, with broader shoulders than the 2024, it is more earth-driven and deeply structured at this stage. It will need time to settle but has all the components for a long evolution."
