A beautifully positioned village Chassagne-Montrachet from one of the Côte de Beaune's most respected family domaines — and a wine that delivers the appellation's trademark richness, texture, and mineral grandeur at a genuinely approachable entry point. Domaine Philippe Girard is a five-century-old family estate based in Savigny-lès-Beaune, where brothers Philippe and Jean-Jacques inherited generations of viticultural savoir-faire and now farm their vines across the Côte de Beaune's most celebrated villages — with Chassagne-Montrachet representing one of their most prized and characterful expressions.

La Goujonne is a distinctive lieu-dit characterized by small iron stones in the parcel's subsoil — a geological signature that lends the wines a subtle, savory minerality and a focused, energetic quality that sets them apart from the richer, more opulent village wines of the appellation. The 2022 from this very lieu-dit was described as exceptionally fine — a vivid, expressive golden-robed wine with aromas of jasmine, candied citrus, and tropical fruit, followed by an absolutely delicate palate of pear, mandarin, mango, and candied pineapple, with a remarkable finish of almond paste, vanilla, and caramel. The 2025 vintage — widely anticipated as a year of freshness and precision across the Côte de Beaune — promises even greater aromatic lift and mineral tension from this iron-rich terroir. Pale gold and luminous, with white flowers, ripe stone fruit, citrus zest, and a creamy hazelnut depth that broadens beautifully on the palate, finishing long, saline, and persistently mineral in the finest Chassagne tradition
