Domaine Philippe Girard has farmed vines around Savigny-lès-Beaune for five generations, its property anchored in a village that still carries the historic character of its twelfth-century church and seventeenth-century château. The domaine is High Environmental Value certified, and today Charlotte Girard continues the family's careful, terroir-focused approach across appellations scattered through the Côte de Beaune.

La Goujonne is a lieu-dit within Chassagne-Montrachet, an appellation regarded as a benchmark for dry white Burgundy, prized for wines that are typically curved and opulent on the attack yet persistent on the palate. The vines here average around 20 years old, planted at high density on clay-limestone soil. Grapes are fully destemmed, pressed, and settled before fermenting in vat for eight to ten days, then aged eight to ten months in oak barrels with about 20% new wood.

The wine shows a deep gold color with green highlights, and the nose offers hawthorn, acacia, honeysuckle, and toasted hazelnut. On the palate it delivers honey, ripe pear, and a flinty, sometimes lightly toasted edge, with the appellation's signature richness carried by a long, textured finish. It's an ideal partner for fine poultry in cream sauce, roasted veal, or richly spiced fish dishes.
