Absolut Grapefruit Vodka 750ml

Absolut has been distilled in the town of Åhus in southern Sweden since Lars Olsson Smith founded the operation in 1879, using a continuous distillation method he pioneered to produce what he called an absolutely pure vodka. That same facility and process still anchor the brand today, more than a century later, with local wells drawing water from roughly 450 feet below ground and winter wheat sourced entirely from nearby farms. Grapefruit is one of the newer additions to the Absolut flavored lineup, following earlier citrus releases like Ruby Red, and has grown into an award-winning entry in its own right.

Absolut Grapefruit starts from the same base spirit as the rest of the range, distilled continuously to strip out impurities while retaining the character of the wheat. Natural grapefruit flavor is added from there, with no sugar included at any stage of production. This keeps the finished vodka dry and true to the fruit rather than syrupy, a point of distinction the brand maintains across its flavored portfolio.

The nose leads with pungent, freshly peeled pink grapefruit, backed by a light vanilla sweetness and a peppery edge. On the palate, tart grapefruit peel builds against a creamy vanilla bean center, supported by the soft wheat character of the vodka base. The finish turns semi-dry with a mild warmth, leaving a long, true grapefruit impression well after the sip.
