Ararat 25 yr Charles Aznavour Signature Blend Brandy 750ml

Ararat traces its origins to 1887, when merchant Nerses Tairyan built the first brandy factory in Yerevan on the grounds of the old Erivan Fortress. The Shustov family acquired the operation in 1899, expanding it with French cognac expertise and eventually winning a blind tasting grand prix in Paris that established the credibility of Armenian brandy on the international stage. Today the Yerevan Brandy Company operates as part of Pernod Ricard, producing the Ararat range that remains central to Armenia's brandy tradition.

This 25 year old expression was created in collaboration with the legendary French Armenian singer Charles Aznavour, who worked directly with the house's master blender to select the component spirits himself. Each distillate in the final blend was chosen to reflect a specific milestone in Aznavour's career, from his 1956 debut at the Paris Olympia to the rise of his international fame in 1960. Like the rest of the Ararat range, the underlying brandies are distilled from grapes grown exclusively on Armenian soil and aged in oak under regulations that require production to remain entirely within the country.

The brandy pours a deep, dark amber with mahogany and golden reflections. Its bouquet layers old wood, caramel, and toffee against notes of chocolate and licorice, while the palate turns rich and smooth, carrying dried fruit through to a long, balanced finish.
