Alhambra Reserva 1925 Amber Lager 6pk
Cervezas Alhambra was founded in 1925 in Granada, in the shadow of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and takes its name and iconic double-lion emblem from the Alhambra palace's Patio de los Leones. Now part of the Mahou-San Miguel group, the brewery introduced Reserva 1925 in 1997, and the beer quickly became one of the most recognized lagers in Spain.
Brewed in the Bohemian Pilsner style, Reserva 1925 relies on barley, corn, a proprietary yeast strain, and the classic Saaz hop variety for its character. What sets it apart is time: the beer undergoes a slow, carefully controlled fermentation lasting roughly sixty days, well beyond what many lagers require, allowing rougher flavors to fade and the malt and hop notes to fully round out. The result is a beer of six point four percent alcohol by volume.
The beer pours a deep amber-gold with a thick, creamy head. Aromas of toasted malt, caramel, and floral hops lead into a palate that balances gentle sweetness with a clean, moderate bitterness and a smooth, lingering finish. Serve it chilled alongside cured jamón, grilled pork, or a hearty paella.
