Buffalo Trace Bourbon Whiskey 1.75L

Buffalo Trace Bourbon is the flagship whiskey of Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in America, with roots on the site tracing back to 1857. The distillery takes its name from the Great Buffalo Trace, a path worn by migrating bison and later followed by early pioneers crossing the Kentucky River. After acquiring the site in the 1990s, the Sazerac Company renamed the property and introduced this bourbon as its new flagship brand, building a reputation that has grown steadily ever since.

The whiskey is made from Mash Bill #1, Buffalo Trace's low-rye, high-corn recipe of corn, rye, and malted barley, the same base used for sibling labels like Eagle Rare and George T. Stagg. Though the bottle carries no age statement, the whiskey is generally understood to mature eight to ten years in new, charred oak barrels within the distillery's century-old warehouses before bottling at 90 proof.

The nose offers vanilla, mint, and molasses layered with brown sugar and light spice. On the palate, those spice notes give way to oak, toffee, dark fruit, and a touch of anise. The finish is long, smooth, and carries real depth.
