El Jimador Silver Tequila PINT 375ML
El Jimador is produced at Casa Herradura, a historic distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, that traces its roots back to the early 19th century under founder Feliciano Romo. The brand launched in 2000, taking its name in honor of the jimadores, the skilled field workers who hand-harvest agave, and quickly became Mexico's top-selling tequila. In 2007, the Romo family sold the company to Brown-Forman, the American spirits group behind Jack Daniel's, though production has remained at the same Amatitán site ever since.
This Silver expression is distilled from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, harvested by hand and cooked in traditional masonry ovens before undergoing double distillation in copper pot stills. Because Casa Herradura sits in the Central Lowlands rather than the Highlands, the agave here tends to produce a more earthy, robust style of tequila than its higher-altitude counterparts. True to the Blanco category, the spirit is bottled shortly after distillation without any barrel aging, preserving the rawest possible expression of the agave.
The nose brings fresh, zesty citrus paired with rich cooked agave and a touch of peppery spice. On the palate, that same citrus arrives first, giving way to fruity agave sweetness, herbaceous notes, and a mineral edge. The finish runs warm and spicy, closing on lingering agave character. Its clean, versatile profile has made it a longtime bartender favorite for margaritas and palomas alike.
