Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch C924 comes from Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, one of the largest independent, family-owned bourbon producers in the country. The Barrel Proof line launched in 2013 as an uncut, unfiltered showcase of the Elijah Craig brand, released three times each year in batches labeled A, B, and C. C924 is the third and final release of 2024, drawn from barrels that spent the height of Kentucky's summer heat extracting flavor from the wood.

This batch carries an eleven year age statement, reflecting the youngest whiskey in the blend, and bottles at a robust 129 proof with no water added and no chill filtration. As with every Barrel Proof release, it comes from Heaven Hill's standard mashbill of seventy-eight percent corn, twelve percent malted barley, and ten percent rye, aged in new charred American oak.

The nose brings charred oak, cinnamon, brown sugar, and stewed fruit. On the palate, bold caramel and charred oak meet dark fruit, pie crust, and layered baking spice. The finish opens with a rush of spice before settling into tobacco, caramel chews, vanilla, and a trace of leather.
