G4 comes from fourth-generation master distiller Felipe Camarena, who produces the brand at El Pandillo, his highland distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco, NOM 1579. The name itself references the four generations of Camarenas who have worked in tequila production, and Felipe has built G4's reputation on additive-free spirits made with minimal intervention, drawing on the same estate agave and water sources that define his other highland projects.

This high proof expression starts with 100% blue Weber agave and is distilled using Camarena's signature approach of blending collected rainwater with natural spring water in equal parts. The tequila is twice distilled in copper pot stills, then bottled at a robust 108 proof rather than diluted down to a standard strength, a choice that preserves more of the spirit's concentrated agave character and lets the mineral qualities of the local water carry through into the glass.

That extra strength brings intensity without heaviness. Cooked agave and wet stone open the nose alongside starfruit, grapefruit, and a lift of tarragon, while the palate turns peppery and warm, with cracked black pepper, cinnamon, and dried herbs like oregano and thyme layered over the sweet agave base. The finish is quick and slightly dry, closing clean with a lingering herbal, mineral edge.
