G4 Clasico Blanco Tequila 750ml
G4 Tequila comes from El Pandillo distillery in Arandas, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, under the direction of master tequilero Felipe Camarena, a fourth-generation member of one of the region's most respected agave-farming families. The Clasico Blanco is a limited retro-labeled release of just over two thousand cases, built as a tribute to the earliest days of the G4 brand and its uncompromising, additive-free approach to tequila making.
This expression blends the classic G4 blanco with a smaller portion of fiber-fermented tequila made from agave aged roughly eight years before harvest. Production follows Camarena's traditional methods throughout, including stone-oven cooking of the agave, mechanical tahona crushing, open-air fermentation, and double distillation in copper pot stills. Fermentation relies on an even mix of natural spring water and harvested rainwater, a signature of the G4 process that lends the finished spirit its distinct minerality and fuller mouthfeel.
The nose opens with bright, freshly cooked agave, sweet citrus, and a subtle floral earthiness rooted in highland terroir. On the palate, that citrus carries through alongside green pepper, herbal spice, and a savory hint of brined olive, with a texture that feels richer than a standard blanco thanks to the fiber fermentation. The finish runs long, dry, and peppery, with the agave character lingering well after the last sip. Serve it neat to appreciate its layered minerality, or in a simple margarita where its brightness has room to shine.
