Gin Lane 1751 Victoria Pink Gin comes from Gin Lane 1751, created through a partnership between Charles Maxwell, an eighth-generation London distiller at Thames Distillers in Clapham, and The Bloomsbury Club, a group of gin enthusiasts and drinks industry professionals. The brand takes its name from William Hogarth's famous print Gin Lane, which depicted the excesses of London's eighteenth-century gin craze, and from the Gin Act of 1751 that followed, cracking down on cheap, widely available gin and eventually helping the spirit become a more respectable Victorian drink. Each bottle is individually numbered and handcrafted in small traditional pot stills.

Victoria Pink begins with Gin Lane's base London Dry recipe, built on eight botanicals: juniper, orris root, Seville orange, angelica, Sicilian lemon, star anise, cassia bark, and coriander. After distillation, the gin is infused with a secret blend of herbs and aromatic spiced bitters, a nod to the Royal Navy tradition of mixing gin with bitters, originally intended as a remedy for seasickness. That addition gives the gin its natural pink hue and its name, without relying on artificial coloring, and the finished spirit is bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume.

The nose is fragrant, with notes of mandarin, grapefruit, and red fruit layered over warm spice. On the palate, juniper remains at the forefront, balanced by a sweet-tart citrus character and gentle hints of licorice and cinnamon from the bitters. The finish runs long, closing with a subtle saline note that lingers after the fruit and spice fade.

"The tradition of blending gin with bitters was first created by the British Royal Navy to balance out sweet and dry gins...and supposedly to help cure sea sickness. We've created a well-balanced gin with juniper still at the forefront but with a beautifully harmonious balance of herbal and spiced bitters.

Style: A full-bodied gin with an infusion of naturally blended aromatic bitters.

Taste: Smooth, refreshing and floral with a gentle hint of spiced bitters on the finish
