Glenmorangie 15 yr The Lasanta Single Malt Whiskey 750ml

Glenmorangie is a Highland distillery known for using the tallest copper pot stills in Scotland, standing over five meters high, a design choice that produces an especially pure and delicate spirit. Under Director of Whisky Creation Dr. Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald, the distillery has recently extended the age statements across several core expressions, and The Lasanta was relaunched in 2025 with three additional years of maturation.

The Lasanta begins in ex-bourbon casks before finishing in Oloroso sherry wood, with some editions incorporating Pedro Ximénez casks as well, for a full fifteen years. The sherry influence builds gradually rather than dominating the spirit, layering warmth and dried fruit character onto Glenmorangie's characteristically bright, floral base. The whiskey is bottled at 43% ABV.

The nose is rich and spicy, with mead, honeycomb, and walnut giving way to floral and fruity top notes like flowering currant and chocolate-covered raisin. On the palate, cinnamon and clove meet toffee, dark chocolate, and Brazil nuts, with leathery oak underneath. The finish is long, closing on Seville orange marmalade, dates, and treacle.
