High West Campfire (rye, bourbon & malt scotch) Whiskey 750ml
A genuinely unusual blend that shouldn't work but does: straight Indiana rye, straight Indiana bourbon, and peated blended malt Scotch (source undisclosed by contract), married together in heavily toasted French and Hungarian oak wine barrels. The idea reportedly came to founder David Perkins during a stay at the Bruichladdich distillery, when he was served fresh melon alongside sweet peat smoke, a combination he set out to bottle. Expect a nose of caramelized sweetness and dried fruit, with the peated Scotch component adding hearty, meaty depth to the bourbon and rye's naturally spicy, rich backbone. The result is bold and beefy, with smoke reminiscent of Southern barbecue drifting through the finish. A genuine only-in-America hybrid whiskey, and one of the category's most distinctive blends.
