Johnnie Walker Blue Year of The Horse Whiskey 750ml

Johnnie Walker traces its roots to 1820, when John Walker began blending whisky in Kilmarnock, Scotland. His son Alexander later shaped much of the brand's identity in the early twentieth century, including the angled label and the striding man logo that remain iconic today. Now part of Diageo's portfolio, Johnnie Walker sits at the top of the global blended Scotch category, with Blue Label representing the pinnacle of the range above Red, Black, Double Black, Green, and Gold.

This edition marks the brand's annual Lunar New Year release, part of a Chinese Zodiac series that has run for over a decade with past editions honoring animals like the Rat, Ox, and Dragon. The liquid inside is standard Blue Label, unaltered by any special finish or cask experiment, drawn from a very small fraction of Diageo's reserve casks selected for their rare depth of character. For this release the brand collaborated with fashion designer Robert Wun, whose artwork evokes the Horse's traditional associations with energy and forward motion. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

The nose offers dried fruit, honey, and toasted oak alongside gentle spice and a whisper of citrus. On the palate, hazelnut, dark chocolate, and sherried sweetness unfold in a velvety, well-balanced style, closing on a long finish carrying soft smoke and warm spice.
