Kilchoman was founded in 2005 by Anthony Wills, making it the first new distillery built on Islay in well over a century. The 100% Islay range is the clearest expression of the distillery's farm-to-bottle philosophy, sourced entirely from barley grown at Kilchoman's own Rockside Farm and taken through every stage, from malting to bottling, without leaving the island. This is the final edition in the limited 100% Islay series, closing out a run that has tracked the distillery's evolving barley varieties and house style since its debut release.

The 15th Edition was distilled from the 2014 and 2015 harvests using Concerto and Publican barley, then matured for a minimum of nine years in 54 ex-bourbon barrels. The barley was peated to roughly 20 ppm, a gentler level than Kilchoman's core range, which lets citrus and orchard fruit come through alongside the distillery's coastal smoke. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colour.

The nose offers vanilla, tropical fruit, and fresh hay, layered with toasted oak, grassy notes, and salted butter. On the palate, milk chocolate and salted caramel meet fresh peat smoke, candied citrus, and ripe pear, with a touch of white pepper leading into a long, coastal finish of fruit and honey.
