Lágrimas del Valle is a "Rancho Unico," or single-ranch, tequila project produced in collaboration with the Rosales family of Tequila Cascahuin, whose distilling tradition in El Arenal, Jalisco dates back to 1904. The brand's name translates to "tears of the valley," a nod to the droplets that form on a well-made agave spirit and to the condensation that collects during distillation. Each release is tied to a specific ranch and harvest, with El Sabino sourced from an estate near Teuchitlán, close to the UNESCO-listed Guachimontones pyramids, at an elevation prized for its high-quality agave.

Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave grown at the El Sabino ranch, this Plata is certified additive free and made under the direction of fourth-generation maestro tequilero Salvador "Chava" Rosales Trejo. The agave is cooked in traditional masonry steam ovens, then crushed using a blend of steel roller mill and stone tahona, a combination that lends added texture and complexity. Fermentation proceeds naturally with ambient yeast before the spirit undergoes double distillation in stainless steel pot stills, bottled unaged to capture the character of this particular terroir.

The nose offers fresh mint, lemon tea, eucalyptus, and bright citrus, giving way to a palate built on cooked agave, dried oregano, and fresh herbs with a notably buttery texture. Vibrant minerality runs throughout, echoing the volcanic soil of the ranch, while white pepper adds a gentle spiced lift. The finish is clean and lingering, closing with a touch of lime and lasting warmth. This bright, herbaceous profile suits fresh ceviche or grilled white fish especially well.
