Larceny Small Batch Bourbon is produced by Heaven Hill Distillery, an independent, family-owned company headquartered in Bardstown, Kentucky. The brand, launched in 2012, is named for John E. Fitzgerald, a bonded treasury agent who reportedly used his warehouse access to claim the finest barrels for himself, a legacy that also inspired the historic Old Fitzgerald bourbon line Heaven Hill acquired in 1999. Larceny carries that wheated tradition forward as a more affordable, small-batch extension of the Fitzgerald name.

Larceny uses a wheated mash bill of roughly 68 percent corn, 20 percent wheat, and 12 percent malted barley, substituting wheat for the rye found in most bourbons to produce a softer, rounder character. Each batch is drawn from fewer than 200 selected barrels, matured in new charred American oak on the upper floors of Heaven Hill's open rick warehouses in Nelson County, where barrels typically age between six and twelve years before blending. The finished whiskey is bottled at 92 proof without an age statement, reflecting Heaven Hill's practice of building consistency through selection rather than a fixed maturation length.

On the nose, Larceny offers brown sugar, toffee, and vanilla fudge alongside light baking spice and toasted oak. The palate brings honeyed caramel, black pepper, and nutmeg, finishing with maple syrup sweetness, toasted grain, and a gentle, lingering spice.
