Lyre's Amaretti NA Liqueur

Lyre's was founded in Australia in 2019 by Mark Livings and Carl Hartmann, entrepreneurs who spent three years developing a range of alcohol-free spirits built on a deep understanding of food science and flavor architecture. Named for the lyrebird, an Australian species famed for mimicking the sounds around it, the brand set out to replicate the taste, aroma, and mouthfeel of classic spirits, and it has since become one of the most decorated names in the non-alcoholic category, sourcing natural essences and distillates from dozens of countries.

Amaretti is Lyre's alcohol-free interpretation of Italian amaretto, formulated to recreate the almond and marzipan character of the classic liqueur without any fermentation or distillation involved. The liquid is built from natural flavoring, cane sugar, and glucose syrup, brightened with citric acid and stabilized with cellulose gum, then bottled at under 0.5% alcohol by volume. It is vegan, dairy free, nut free, egg free, and gluten free, and finished with a chestnut hue reminiscent of the traditional spirit.

On the nose, sweet almond and marzipan lead, layered with peach, a touch of cherry, and warm vanilla. The palate turns almond-forward and gently spiced, with candied vanilla and a natural bitterness that keeps the medium-sweet profile from tipping into cloying. The finish is long, warm, and rounded, closing on lingering toasted nut and a clean sweetness. Serve chilled over ice or shaken into a citrus-forward sour.
