Ed Hamilton is a legendary figure in the rum world, having built his expertise sailing around the Caribbean and running the Ministry of Rum — one of the most respected rum resources in existence. His Demerara River rum is a carefully selected blend sourced directly from Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana, bottled without any added sugar or sweeteners. 

A blend of both pot and column still rums — meaning distillate from at least one of Guyana's legendary wooden pot stills, the Versailles or the Port Mourant — aged up to five years in ex-Bourbon casks and bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof). 

In the glass, dark walnut with golden amber highlights. The nose leads with dark cacao and toffee, while the palate delivers sweet caramel, black cherry, red apple, and plums balanced by bitter treacle, tobacco, cinnamon, and allspice, with charred oak and cacao drifting in on a long, lingering finish.

Rich flavors of dark, stone fruit, smoky wood, burnt cane, treacle and brown spice. Despite being much lower proof than the Hamilton Rum at 151 proof, this is bottled from the same bulk rum blend.
