Maison Monnet has been distilling in Jarnac since 1838, and by the mid-twentieth century had become an official supplier to the Swedish royal court while building a following across the United States and beyond. The house is closely tied to Leonetto Cappiello's 1920s "Sunshine in a Glass" poster, which captured the warm, fruit-forward style Monnet has cultivated ever since by favoring careful vineyard selection and a lighter touch with oak over heavy wood influence.

This VSOP is blended from eaux-de-vie chosen specifically for their generous, ripe character, distilled on the lees to build extra aromatic depth. The spirit matures for a minimum of four years in fine-grain Limousin oak casks within Monnet's cellars in Jarnac, a process the house keeps deliberately restrained so the fruit stays at the center of the final blend rather than being overtaken by wood tannin.

The color is a pure, bright amber. On the nose, vanilla and dried fruit meet spice and a faint touch of leather. The palate is rich and mellow, layering honey, nougat, and baked fruit through a long, smooth finish that closes gently rather than with heat. It suits sipping neat, though its round, generous profile also holds up well over ice or in a simple mixed drink.

"Monnet Cognac VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) cognac is masterfully blended from eaux-de-vie specifically chosen for their generous character. Aged in Limousin oak casks for a minimum of four years.

Pure amber in color, Monnet VSOP reveals spicy aromas of vanilla, dried fruits and hints of leather. On the palate, it is deliciously rich and balanced, with notes of honey, nougat and a long, smooth finish.
