NV Agrapart - Champagne Extra Brut 7 Crus (750ml)
Champagne Agrapart was founded in 1894 by Arthur Agrapart in the village of Avize, deep in the Côte des Blancs. Fourth-generation vigneron Pascal Agrapart has run the estate since the early 1980s, building a reputation as a leading figure in Champagne's grower movement, and since 2016 his son Ambroise has taken over winemaking while Pascal remains closely involved. The family farms organically, even plowing some parcels by horse, and relies on wild fermentation to let each plot express itself.
Les 7 Crus draws on ninety percent Chardonnay and ten percent Pinot Noir grown across seven villages surrounding Avize, including the Grand Crus of Avize, Oger, Oiry, and Cramant alongside three Premier Cru sites. The wine typically blends two vintages, undergoes full malolactic fermentation, and rests on its lees for close to three years before a light dosage is added at disgorgement.
The wine offers vibrant aromas of peach, apricot, lemon, and pear, joined by almond and a touch of spicy anise. The palate is fresh and crisp, with very fine bubbles and a pure, textured expression of fruit that carries into a long, mineral finish. Pair it with grilled sea bream, salmon tartare, or roasted almonds.
