Concha y Toro was founded in 1883 by Melchor Concha y Toro, a former Chilean Minister of Finance, and his wife Emiliana Subercaseaux, who imported Bordeaux grape varieties including Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot to plant in the Maipo Valley. Over the following century the winery grew into the largest wine producer in Latin America, expanding across Chile's principal valleys while building an international reputation through labels like Casillero del Diablo and the ultra premium Don Melchor. Frontera sits at the accessible end of that portfolio, offering an easy entry point into the house style for everyday drinking.

This Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Chile's Central Valley, a region shaped by warm days, cooling ocean influence, and the shelter of the coastal mountain range that together support fresh, aromatic white wines. A touch of Semillon is blended in alongside the Sauvignon Blanc, adding roundness and fruitiness to balance the primary variety's natural zest. The wine is fermented to remain crisp and dry, in keeping with a straightforward, traditional French style of winemaking.
