Patron Citronge Orange Liqueur 750ml

Patrón traces to 1989, when John Paul DeJoria and Martin Crowley launched the tequila brand in Jalisco, Mexico, working with the historic Siete Leguas distillery to produce it from the heart of the blue Weber agave plant. The brand grew into one of the most recognized names in premium tequila, later expanding into a small family of liqueurs, including Citrónge, and the company today operates under Bacardi's Patrón Spirits Company. Every bottle in the Patrón lineup is still made in Mexico, with barrels, bottles, and corks handled by hand at the distillery.

Citrónge Orange is built around carefully selected Mexican oranges, delicately blended with Patrón's own one hundred percent agave tequila rather than a neutral base spirit. The oranges are macerated to draw out their peel oils, and the resulting orange-flavored spirit is sweetened with pure cane sugar, with no artificial flavors or chemical enhancers used at any stage. This tequila-based approach sets it apart from more conventional triple sec style orange liqueurs and ties it directly to the distillery's agave heritage.

The liqueur pours crystal clear and offers a bright burst of orange zest on the nose, layered with hints of tangerine and a faint spice from the underlying tequila. The palate opens slightly sweet before drying into zesty, bittersweet citrus, finishing dry with lingering orange peel and a whisper of agave spice.
