Redemption Bourbon Whiskey 750ml

Redemption Whiskey traces back to industry veterans Dave Schmier and Michael Kanbar, who set out in Kentucky in search of standout single barrels and ended up building a brand around an exceptional rye they discovered at the MGP distillery in Indiana. What began as a rye-focused label expanded into a full bourbon lineup, and in 2015 the brand was acquired by Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, now known as W J Deutsch & Sons. Production remains at the historic MGP facility in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, with master blender Dave Carpenter overseeing the blending and aging that shape each release.

This core Redemption Bourbon is built from a rye-forward mash bill of 75 percent corn, 21 percent rye, and 4 percent malted barley, a higher rye proportion than most bourbons on the market. The whiskey is aged in new charred American oak, following the same rye-heavy philosophy that first built the Redemption name, and it's bottled at 88 proof, giving it an approachable, everyday strength suited to both sipping and cocktails.

The nose brings caramel and vanilla layered with a hint of overripe banana and a light lift of spice. On the palate, toffee and kola nut settle in alongside baking spice, with anise and black pepper adding a peppery, dry edge through the finish. The rye content keeps the profile lively rather than purely sweet, giving the whiskey a bit of bite beneath its classic bourbon backbone.
