Rhum J.M. Paille Gold is a 50 percent alcohol by volume agricultural rum produced exclusively from fresh sugarcane juice under Martinique’s Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée regulations. Rather than fermenting molasses residues, J.M. processes raw cane extracts through a single continuous column still, preserving the mineral-driven, herbaceous backbone that distinguishes authentic Martiniquais agricole spirit. Extended maturation in oak casks develops the signature straw-to-gold hue while coaxing out vanilla, citrus peel, and dried tropical fruit tones that complement rather than obscure the cane foundation.

Bottling at 100 proof delivers noticeable viscosity and flavor concentration, making this expression especially effective in ice-heavy cocktails that require structural presence and persistent finish, such as aged rum Old Fashioneds, French-style daiquiris, and spice-forward rum punches.
